These unique, antique beaded necklaces are made by the Afghan refugees residing in the border of Afghanistan/Pakistan. Most of these refugees from the 1979 invasion of Afghanistan by the soviets. Most of them are still refugees due to civil wars going on until today. They are self-employed, we place an order with them, they make them and we buy from them. That is how they support their families. Very skilled people. They just need opportunities.
