Afghan craftsmen make all these necklaces and other pieces of authentic beautiful jewelry one by one and by hands. All of the crafters are self-employed and make these items by taking orders. The coins are real coins, currency coins and synthetic stones inlaid on them. The metals used in the bails are called different names, some call it German silver, some called it Gypsy and some call it Alpaca Silver and some call it just brass. We cannot confirm. Imperfections, wears & tears, missing parts, defects and many other flaws are common with these types of products and handmade items. Since, these are handmade, there are many flaws and imperfections in the way the synthetic stones inlaid, the workmanship in how the bails are made and welded. Also, these are reproduced vintage products. So, they are made to look old like vintages, dirty, and with defects. Therefore, look at photos carefully and zoom in to see the defects and all parts of them.
